Son of two soldiers, FX thinks they know more than two grunts oughta about a really creepy science experiment involving him.

Quirks:

- Recurring vivid oversaturated monthly dream, featuring a lush green valley with some dashas nearby and a mysterious manmade stone hill in the distance.  And what’s up with this sword? Update: The valley exists, the village is in ruins and the hill is really a dragon or really a hill? And the sword is real. Also, one of the mice of Jake’s Halo called FX a dream warrior…

Items:

- Anchor Ring: Silvery ring with double anchor design.  ”Virtutis Stemmata” (Cobb family motto) summons Corona to his hand.  One spirit chip maintenance.

- Corona: hand and half sword, has a divided circle decoration on hilt.  Extremely sharp and strong.  Has a coronal glow (reddish near the blade, bluish at the outer edge) in sunlight.  ”Corona” allows FX to draw glowing lines in the air; drawing the divided circle apparently summons a dragon, drawing a dragon causes the sword to point toward the dragon, drawing a ‘flattened pyramid’ causes the sword to point toward a point sw of Cintamanta, drawing an infinity symbol opens a portal (2 spirit chips) that leads to the dragon temple, and drawing an anchor causes the sword to go back to wherever it waits for someone to summon it with the ring.

- Battle Rooster: Hefty metal statuette of a rooster.  When attuned user crows like a rooster, the rooster appears.  6′at the shoulder, it appears to be a normal rooster other than size and having multiple tails.  It speaks and seems to be familiar with the items found in the crypt.  Apparently wants to be used to fight or for travel.  Can leap bone walls in a single bound. 1 body chip maintenance and 1 body chip to summon.

Contacts:

- Blackwood, Jim: Juvenile criminal and lifelong friend.  The defining moment came when X (unwittingly) got and held the attention of a large pursuing mastiff long enough for Jim to hop a fence unscathed while X nearly got mauled.  Jim later gave X a high powered hunting rifle as a token of respect.

- Cafferty, Father J. Michael: Current priest at the Cobb family church.  Once showed up at the Cobb residence and somehow got in to talk to X without warning.

- The Hill: dream inhabitant.  Apparently a manmade stone hill.  However it has blinked and moved rather faster than a horse (or an unladen naked human) can gallop, so perhaps there is more to it than an initial impression might warrant.  see Dragon.

- Krav Maga instructor introduced by Hallé’s mother.

- Rooster: summoned creature from ‘the other side’ and a ‘higher plane’.  Has been through the whole guardian of the dragon routine before with the last Cobb hero.  Says that the dragon is really the Hill from FX’s dream and that there is or was a temple that he would be headed towards to lair.  Told FX that he must subdue the dragon or an invasion might come from ‘the other side’ (apparently a world where magic is more widely recognized).

- Dragon: summoned creature which is supposedly the waking world version of the Hill.  An enormous black dragon which is both powerful and aggressive.  The air defenses failed to shoot him down before he traveled to somewhere in the Shattered Isles. Created a portal that sent the group to the Floating Islands in the Far Meadows.
